Walking & Running
The island offers good conditions for walking or running along coastal and
country tracks or paths. There are some lovely routes on the old Roman
road climbing up to La Mola from Es Calo, or easier terrain beside
the beaches or through the pine groves which cover a large part of
the island.
Formentera offers the opportunity to discover solitary coves,
explore hidden caves and stroll along ancient paths leading
to windmills and watch towers. |

|
Painting & Photography
The island provides a challenge for artists and photographers to try to capture
some aspect of the landscape - the fig and pine trees, fields, plants,
or a rustic farmhouse. The colours and light are brilliant, defying reproduction,
but inspire the effort of attempting to do so.
I am delighted to say that we now have a superb collection
of oil paintings, water colours and photographs displaying many aspects of Formentera, gracing
the walls of our office, sent to us by talented guests. |

 |
Cycling & Exploring
Formentera has a comprehensive network of paths and tracks making
the ideal way to explore the island by bicycle or mountain bike,
which can be hired from many specialists on the island.
This enables
you to visit areas which would otherwise pass unseen.
A network of twenty Green Routes has been created, along which
you can discover landscapes off the beaten track and enjoy
a close contact with the nature of the island.
