There are many beautiful beaches around the coast of Formentera to relax on and enjoy the warm sunshine. Swimming from the beaches is a joy as the sand is soft and the beaches regularly cleaned.
Safety posts are located on many beaches to watch over swimmers and to advise on the safety of swimming each day with life-guards patrolling the waters off-shore.

Most beaches proudly fly the coveted Blue Flag (Las Banderas), highlighting the cleanliness and clarity of the water.
Formentera is surrounded by a crystal-clear Mediterranean sea offering excellent underwater visibility, making it an ideal location for diving and snorkelling.
Windsurfing and catamaran sailing centres are located on Es Pujols and Mitjorn beaches.
