The Ferrer House, Can Parra, Es Cap de Barbaria, Formentera

The Ferrer House (Casa Can Joan Andreuet) is located in the open countryside of the Can Parra area on the beautiful Es Cap de Barbaria.

The house is reached by taking the road from San Francisco to Es Cap then turning left opposite the junction of the road to Cala Saona and the Bar Es Cap. It is then only a 5 minute drive along the lanes heading towards the sea, before you come across this typical island farmhouse.

It is 2.5 km from San Francisco and 1 km to the western end of Mitgorn beach.

The location is peaceful and tranquil and provides an ideal base from which to enjoy a holiday with a really authentic Formentera experience, living as the locals have done for hundreds of years, amongst the fields, in harmony with nature and in a house which blends into the surrounding ‘campo’, still an area of agricultural importance.

The House

The house is set in its own land with open views across the fields towards the sea and the coastline of Mitgorn beach.

It is a typical island farmhouse with thick walls to ensure cool rooms on hot summer days. A spacious terrace extends along the front of the house and here ‘al fresco’ meals can be enjoyed on the balmy summer evenings.

A comfortable living room offers a place to relax in the shade, reading or slumbering under the traditional fire place.

Transport is obviously a necessity and whether you want bicycles, a scooter or car, we can arrange for delivery to the house if you arrive by taxi or collection at the harbour as you get off the ferry.

Accommodation -
Sleeps up to 6 adults plus 2 children (8 people).

The house is fully equipped and furnished in the traditional style of Formentera, simple but effective and efficient.
It has electricity and a good supply of water.

There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a distribution as follows:

2 bedrooms and one bathroom are in the main house.
1 bedroom and 1 bathroom lead off from each end of the terrace.

The kitchen has 4 gas rings and a separate electric, microwave-style, oven.

The house will be clean on arrival and departure; towels changed two times a week and sheets once a week.
